AetherPlugins

Extend Aether, your way.

Plugins are a planned way to extend Aether with game integrations, community tools and personal touches. Plugin support is not available yet, and nothing can be installed today.

Planned Planned. There is no plugin catalogue, SDK or download yet.

01 Plugin categories

Six ways to make Aether your own.

The categories below shape how plugin support is being designed. Each is a concept until plugins are released.

  • Game integrations

Connect launchers, game status and mod tools to your Aether library.

    Concept
  • Community

TGL events, squads and announcements, surfaced where you play.

    Concept
  • Media and capture

Tools that organise, trim and share your clips and screenshots.

    Concept
  • Overlays and widgets

Glanceable panels for friends, schedules and session timers.

    Concept
  • Server information

Player-facing details for TGL servers. Never administration.

    Concept
  • Themes and personalisation

Layouts, colours and sounds that make the app feel like yours.

03 Compatibility and safety

Powerful plugins, safe by design.

Plugins will run inside the app you trust with your games and media, so safety is a design requirement from the start. Here is what is known and what is not.

Aether version
Not published. Plugin support is planned for after the first public release.
Unknown
Platform
Aether is a desktop app tested internally on Windows. That is not a published compatibility guarantee.
In development
Plugin interface
No SDK or documentation has been published.
Not published
Permissions
Plugins are planned to declare what they access, and you approve it before they run.
Planned
Distribution
Planned through an official TGL catalogue, with plugins reviewed before listing.
Planned
Server administration
Out of scope. Server admin and remote console tools stay in a separate, audited service and are never reachable through plugins.

04 Questions

Plugin questions.

Can I install Aether plugins today?

No. Aether has no public release yet, and plugin support is planned for after that. Be wary of anything offering “Aether plugins” before an official announcement.

Can I build a plugin?

Not yet: no SDK or documentation has been published. If you would like to build for Aether, tell the team about your idea on Discord.

Will plugins cost money?

That has not been decided. No plugin pricing or plugin-related membership benefit is being offered.

Will third-party plugins be allowed?

The plan is to review plugins before they are listed in an official catalogue. Details will be published with plugin support.

Have a plugin idea? We are listening.

Tell the team what you would build or use. Community ideas help decide what comes first.
